On a particular Saturday afternoon, Pastors Bently & Refilwe Tladi decided to drive into Mahube Extension 1 in Mamelodi East on their way back from Cullinan. Simultaneously praying and driving around the community, they were led to a home of a certain lady who at that time was going through her season of difficulties. By the grace of God, she responded kindly and allowed them into her home. After a brief introduction and engagement, a prayer was held and contact details exchanged. The following Wednesday when the pastors went to the lady’s home for what would later become a routine, she had invited her neighbors to the meeting. It was a very kind gesture from her which sparked momentum. That momentum would overlap into the following Wednesdays until Word Based Missional Church was born. Word Based Missional Church is now a growing community of believers, holding tight to the word of life, resisting to yield to the standards of the world, and maintaining a character that is in line with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. We celebrate our anniversary on September 3rd every year.
